Carbon Asset Management Gold Standard Fund
Carbon Asset Management Sweden AB is pleased to announce the launch of a Gold Standard Project Fund. Gold Standard projects under the Clean Development Mechanism, Joint Implementation and voluntary offset markets are eligible for development assistance and partnership with Carbon Asset Management Sweden AB.
Gold Standard – Environmental and Social Integrity for a Long-term Climate Solution
Gold Standard projects are endorsed by 42 local and global NGOs, including WWF, SouthSouthNorth, Greenpeace, and others. Gold Standard projects adhere to rigorous requirements regarding local participation and sustainable development benefits. All Gold Standard projects employ renewable energy or energy efficiency technologies, thus promoting a fundamental shift in energy use while promoting local economies. Clear and transparent additionality criteria make Gold Standard projects low risk investments with high environmental benefits.
Carbon Asset Management Sweden AB is committed to promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency projects with high sustainable development benefits. Thus, the purpose of the Fund is to promote and provide funding to meet the requirements of the Gold Standard. Carbon Asset Management Sweden AB shall commit up to € 10 million to the Fund to be used for financing/subsidising the additional costs to project developers associated with complying with the Gold Standard.
